‘Bridgestone Rides the Future’ funds education of 200 needy students

Thai Bridgestone Co Ltd, through the ‘Bridgestone Rides the Future,’ donated 2,450,000 baht and 200 bicycles to Education for Development Foundation Thailand (EDF) to support its educational scholarships for under-privilege students.

This is the eight year that Thai Bridgestone has supported EDF.

Mr Shinichi Sato (2nd from right), Managing Director of Thai Bridgestone Co Ltd, presented 2,450,000 baht under the ‘Bridgestone Rides the Future’ to Mr Sunphet Nilrat (3rd from left), Managing Director of the Education for Development Foundation Thailand (EDF) to support its educational scholarships for the needy students of Nongbua Lumphu and Buengkarn provinces for the 2013 economic year. 

In addition to financial support, Thai Bridgestone also donated 200 bicycles to the students to facilitate and make more convenient their travel to and from their schools.

Established for 26 years, the Education for Development Foundation has been providing educational scholarships to needy students in 44 provinces around Thailand.
