EDF welcomes US nursing students

The visit is part of their study trip to observe the EDF projects on education for less fortunate children in rural Thailand.

Established in 1987 and registered as a charitable organisation No. 255 under the laws of Thailand, the EDF Foundation has provided more than 321,273 scholarships worth 500,609,000 baht to students in 46 provinces around Thailand.  The foundation has implemented over 200 CSR projects in cooperation with various corporations, such as improving school infrastructures, career development, health promotion, IT projects and many more.

In 2013 EDF Foundation was awarded The Golden Kalapapruek Award by Khon Kaen University in recognition of the foundation’s continuous development of scholarship programmes and educational development projects. Before that, in 2012, the foundation won the Thailand NGO Awards 2012 for large organisation category organised by the Rockefeller Foundation, Kenan Institute Asia and the Resource Alliance.
